I have been teaching high school mathematics for 24 years in central Florida. I have just been assigned Algebra 2 for the coming year after teaching mostly Algebra 1 for the last 15 years or so. Our school day has just been changed - it was 7 periods of 50 minutes each but now it will be a little less. I will be teaching 6 class periods of Algebra 2 or Algebra 2 Honors with 1 period for planning and/or PLC meetings, etc. I was also moved from a classroom in the math building to a portable classroom. I don't know yet exactly what equipment/technology I will have available since the portable currently has nothing in it. I am hoping for whiteboards, a data projector, and access to a class set of student laptops. We'll see what happens in August.
