Hi. I'm new to teaching this year. I have been an Architect for 25 years. I started home-schooling my son due to a chronic illness 10 years ago. That led to me working with other home-schoolers, eventually teaching at a blended learning center in my area. When he was finally able to return to school, I had to decide what I wanted to do. I chose to stay in teaching as I have been doing it for a while now with considerable success. I am teaching 8th grade Pre-Algebra at a middle school but it includes special ed students and advanced students so the course coverage ranges from about 6th to 10th grade work. I teach in Arizona, using their state standards for 8th grade curriculum. We meet daily for 68 minute periods.
