Subtitute teaching 14+ years, various long-term math assignments, middle school and high school.  Currently assigned 6-grade, 7-grade math for entire 2019-2020 school year and for the first time, must develop own plans.  In the past, there was a collaborative effort and plans were passed to me to execute.  Very different this time.  School currently uses the Common Core standards.  My largest classes are 6-grade (40 students each/2 classes).  I have four 7-grade classes, two of which are accelerated.   Also, within the 6-grade classes are many (8+) ELL students.  I have my hands full, and desire to do the best I can for these classes.  I have started this school year reviewing with all classes the Number System to determine where they are.  Less than 10% of total student body are proficient in Operations and Algebraic Thinking as well as Real and Complex Numbers.  Classroom set-up:  Portable with 10 round tables because there are no desks available.  Total student count:  230
