Hi Everyone! My name is Mimi and I teach in Palm Beach County Florida so we are using the MAFS standards which are basically the CCSS with a different name.   I teach 6th and 7th-grade Accelerated Math.  My 6th-grade classes cover all of the 6th grade and 1/3 of 7th grade standards.  My 7th-grade classes cover the other 2/3 of the 7th grade standards and all of the 8th grade standards.  The 6th-grade class takes the 6th grade FS and the 7th-grade class takes the 8th grade FSA.

We are structured in a block schedule.  I see my classes for 90 minutes every other day.  Luckily I have all my 6th-grade classes on one day and my 7th-grade on the opposite day.

This will be my 23rd year teaching. I look forward to making new friends here and getting some new ideas.
